News and Results 2009

November 09 IHDT Sparsholt Wessex Area. 4th again buit a good second only 1.5 penalties behind after dressage and cones and a clear round so very pleased with him. Not as quick as these little ponies in the obstacles!
1st November We have purchased a new boy or actually a couple of new boys. At Beaulieu Road sales I had a weak moment and bought another bay colt foal Ashfield Trilogy who will no doubt have his picture on here soon.

Also in another moment of weakness Merwydd Magnet aka Merlyn will be joining us tomorrow as a future driven pair for Chip.  He is a 3 yr old Section C by Felinmor Grand Slam out of Maescwm Celyn and will have his own page once he joins us.

Merlyn pictured left Chip right , it had to be done!

18th October IHDT Sparsholt Wessex Area. In a very strong Novice Pony class Jenson and I were 4th out of 10 which was brilliant as it was only his 2nd event. Kat drove Cappela unfortunately had to retire in the final obstacles. She is struggling with her COPD so has been retired and we plan for her to be put in foal next spring.
10th October Our New Forest boys have joined us now and we turned them out today for the winter. A lovely sunny day and they loved having 5 acres to gallop around in. See more pictures on the New Forest page

7th October Ro held it all together and was 12th in his class. We were all really pleased with him he just looked inexperienced which he is. Picture on the home page.
12th Sept 09 Romsey show today and Jenson won the Pleasure driving and then went into the main ring for a bit of exposure to a buzzy environment and he coped very well . Picture courtesy of Stephanie Kill winning his class.

6th September 09 Jenson won a strong pleasure driving class at Southern Counties WPCS show today.
18th August 09 Ro has come home for a 3 week rest before preparing for HOYS. He is out with his daughter and the others and as you can see below is chilling

Hey guys this is how its done

With Daughter Fancy Free and Chip

Lets Chill but first.....

.........Lets get down to some serious grazing

7th August 09 Ro was a very good 3rd in the Bob Templeton Final out of 20 good ponies and top Section C. He didnt find favour in the Silver Medal final although Leanne thought he went better in that class.

23rd July RWAS Today was Ro's day, in the atrocious weather with a ring that was a sea of mud he was 2nd in the Ridden C class being Reserve Champion C and best gelding. Obviously the mud doesn't bother him and he loved the grandstand and the occasion. The judge commented that he gave her a lovely ride.

In the afternoon he topped that with a win in the HOYS qualifier so we will be going to Birmingham for the first time ever in October. Well done Leanne and Paul for producing him so well. Picture hopefully to follow

Northleach Show On a very hot day Ro was 2nd in the Olympia Qualifier and 3rd in the Intermediate.
Cadnam Driving Show 13th June 2009 Jenson again behaved very well and won the Novice Class but no pictures this time. We then went to see Ro in the afternoon in his class at the NPS Area 24 show where he was 4th in a good Olympia Qualifier.

7th June 2009 BDS Dorset Area Show  We took Jenson to his first show today and it was a bit buzzier than I would have liked but he behaved very well. In a strong exercise vehicle class jusge Jo Halnam-Blackwell commented that the first two had given her something to think about but Jenson was not going forward as much and was placed 2nd. A very good start. Next class was Novice Horse/ Pony so we asked for a bit more and won beating the pony that was 1st previously. the judge commented he got better and better as he went on. A very good start to his season. More pictures on his page.

May 31st Cadnam Show As Chip has been home for a week to start his career as a driven pony we thought we might as well take him to a show. 1st out of 15 in the potential driving pony and then ring champion. Long may it continue !

16th May - Windsor Horse Show Ro did really well to be 5th in the Olympia qualifier today. A great result as this was his first really big test and he coped with  the big occasion brilliantly.

Cardi is fitting in well in his new role as wheeler in a team as can be seen in the picture. Cardi in the wheel this side

April -SCWPCA Spring show. Ro is still taking time to settle and was 2nd in the Intermediate and 4th in the Open ridden. Pictured with his dad on the home page who won the Intermediate.

2009 has started well with Romeo winning his Open class at SWWPCS Spring Show , despite not being on his best behaviour. The next day he was foot perfect to come 5th in a mixed M&M class. Thats showing!!!!!!

Indoor Season Wessex area 2008/9 Competing with both Jenson and Cardi I finished 3rd in the Novice Pony league with steadily improving performances with a 2nd in the final event. So now looking forward to next year.
