Whippets and Lacey
| When I was looking for a whippet puppy in 2008 ( see below) I had rung Pauline Oliver on the advice of a friend but she didn't have any puppies at the time. In March 2009 Pauline emailed me to say she had a litter and had 2 bitch puppies available if I was still interested. The result is that we are now proud to be owned by the beautiful whippet Smudge - Spyanfly Stone of Love. She is beautifully bred with many champions in her pedigree (see below). Dans first attempt at handling which he really enjoyed at Wimbourne Charity Dog show where Smudge was 5th out of 15 in an AV Puppy Class. |
Previous to Smudge .........Having not had a lurcher for many years in 2007 we looked for a hairy rescue lurcher and came up with what was supposed to be whippet x JR instead. Lacey was 12 weeks old and we were her 5th home not counting the kennels at the rescue. A bit sceptical that she was a JR cross we fell in love with her and she has proven to be a wonderful companion and the sweetest tempered dog you could wish for whatever her breeding which is certainly whippet but not sure what else as she is 20" |

| As Lacey grew our JR's got a bit fed up with her wanting to play and she really needed someone to run with so I succumbed to a longtime wish to have a whippet. Milli joined us in July 2008. Not the best whippet in the world in show terms but we love her to bits and forgive her her flying ears and gay tail | |
